What's the best way to avoid a toothache? Prevent it from ever happening!
Visiting your dentist and hygienist on a regular basis catches small problems before they become painful. Jessica, Melinda, and Courtney are excellent hygienists who will work with you to keep your mouth healthy. They, along with Dr. Parsons and her clinical assistants, believe that these preventive strategies are crucial to maintaining your smile for years to come.
First, it is important to use proper brushing and flossing techniques at home. Twice a day. Two minutes each time.
We also encourage at least two prophylaxis (cleaning) appointments and exams per year. During these cleanings the hygienists will remove plaque and tartar that build up below the gum tissue. Dr. Parsons will then examine the teeth, gums, and mouth for any signs of cavities, infection, or cancer. She will utilize digital radiographs to aid her diagnosis.
